Whether theoretical or practical, Miel Montreal gives you the training you need to work with bees. It is indeed important, especially in urban areas, to make sure that you, your neighbourhood and the bees are well. It can be a disease that could decimate a colony and spread to other hives, or a sting that can have a serious impact on an allergic person. That's why it is important to be aware of what can happen with a hive. These risks are all manageable, as long as we are trained.

All our courses present an ecological approach of beekeeping, a prerequisite for their survival.

Beekeeping 101 - Introduction to ecological urban apiculture (in class)

Addressing all the key themes of urban beekeeping, this training combines 18 hours in the classroom and 3 hours on the field. You will get everything you need, whether it is to get started or to improve the management of an existing apiary. Discover the details of the training here.

Beekeeping 102 - Summer Hive School (field)

Following the theoretical training, the Summer Hive School gives you the opportunity to interact with bees and experience the manipulations to be made on a hive, all along a full season. It runs from May to the enf of October. Discover all the details here.
